Hope In Uncertainty
An unprecedented pandemic requires an unprecedented response.
While healthcare workers and government agencies continue to combat the effects of the spread of COVID-19, we seek to provide immediate assistance to the most vulnerable in our community through ground-level support and resources.
In March, Brookside CDC expanded services to support those in our community through our food pantry, prepared meal delivery and Emergency Care Fund.
The Brookside Emergency Care Fund provides flexible resources to individuals and families on the Near Eastside of Indianapolis affected by the COVID-19 Pandemic. Our food pantry allows individuals to receive over $90 in groceries every month and our prepared meals are delivered to residents in our community weekly. Our community continues to face uncertainty, so Brookside CDC will continue to show up for our neighbors.
That is why we are incredibly excited to announce that Brookside CDC was awarded a $25,000 grant from the Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield Foundation for our COVID-19 Emergency Relief Fund. This funding will allow us to continue providing food pantry, prepared meal delivery, and financial assistance to our city. We are so grateful for the opportunity to continue serving our city!
